Aaron Parker Elementary School Chapter

National Elementary Honor Society

Criteria and Guidelines

The National Elementary Honor Society guidelines emphasize four criteria for membership: scholarship, responsibility, service, and leadership.

A faculty council of at least 3 members reviews grades, faculty input and candidate forms to make the determination of membership.

Grades:

At the end of the 5th six weeks of the students 4th grade year, students must have 90%, cumulative average in all four core academic areas (averaged similar to a GPA)

Faculty Input Forms:

This is used for feedback on responsibility, service and leadership. They will use a scale of 1-4 (1 being low/poor and 4 being high/outstanding). Students must earn 16 out of 24 total points in this area to qualify.

NEHS Candidate Form:

Form must be filled out and returned on deadline giving information about leadership positions held, service activities, membership in groups or organizations, and responsibilities taken at home or with family.

Once inducted: Membership brings a new responsibility to continue to demonstrate those outstanding qualities of scholarship, responsibility, service and leadership in all that you do.  NEHS membership qualifies you to serve as a member of Aaron Parker Student Council.

North Lamar ISD Panther Alert

NLISD uses the School Messenger Notification System for the Panther Alert.  The system provides timely communication to parents, students, staff, and the community . If  you are a staff member or have a child attending North Lamar ISD, you are automatically in the database and will receive phone notifications. However, if you would prefer to receive Panther Alerts by email or text messages, you can create your own contact preference profile. Contact Manager allows you to control the ways in which you prefer to be contacted.

Please review the InfoCenter Signup Instructions.

Proceed to SchoolMessenger InfoCenter.

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously. Click on image to submit a tip.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911.
