Parker PE classes team up to set world record

Paris, Texas – On November 9, Aaron Parker Elementary students, along with students from over 20 countries, helped set a Guinness World Record in Sport Stacking.   Sport stacking is an exciting individual and team sport where participants of all ages and abilities stack and unstack specially designed cups in specific patterns.

“This is the first year I have introduced Sport Stacking in PE class and the students are really excited about it,” said Parker PE instructor Lisa Denman.  “I think it is a great activity because it activates the right and left brain, improves hand/eye coordination, and improves focus and concentration.”

However, if you would prefer to receivePanther Alerts by email or text messages, you can create your own contact preference profile. Contact Manager allows you to control the ways in which you prefer to be contacted. It also works like a mailbox, giving you a place to review messages you may have missed.

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911
