Friends of Rachel (FOR) Club |
Rachel Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Her acts of kindness and compassion coupled with the contents of her six diaries have become the foundation for one of the most life-changing school programs in America. We brought this program to NLHS 2010 fall with a powerful assembly conducted by a member of the Rachel's Challenge team. We then created our F.O.R. (Friends of Rachel) Club. We raise money to help students in need as well as community involvement. For more information, check out their website: www.rachelschallenge.org

Project Graduation |
Project Graduation is an all night event that is held on the night of graduation each year. This event is for seniors and a guest of their choice that includes games, a DJ, inflatables, a hypnotist show, food and soft drinks, prizes and cash drawings. This event is held in a safe, drug and alcohol free environment that gives the seniors an opportunity to spend one last night together as a class. They also have the chance to walk away with prizes that include items such as Ipods, dishes, TVs, computers, as well as cash.
The seniors and their families work different fundraisers during the year to raise money and earn points. The money earned is then used to purchase the prize items and food as well as pay for the different activities provided on Project Graduation night. The seniors use the points they have earned all year to "buy" the items that have been purchased in live and silent auctions. The all night event culminates in cash drawings that the Seniors must be present to win.
