North Lamar High School – The passage of a 1994 North Lamar ISD bond election provided $11,500,000 which paved the way for the present North Lamar High School as well as other district projects. Doors opened for grades 9-12 in 1996. After a long anticipated move was delayed in August and again in September, the jubilant moving day finally arrived on Tuesday, October 15, 1996. Students were told to go to the parking lot at 9:00 a.m. for an assembly and after a brief ceremony; the band led the walk to the new school.
Some of the 2009 bond election funds ($4,680,000) were used to add four new science labs and five new computer labs.
